Inspired by the 4,900 brave women who during World War II, wielded six pound axes around forests felling and loading timber in order to make a contribution to the war effort.
The great efforts of the Women's Timber Corps, AKA the 'Lumberjills' is one of the last unrecognized stories of the Second World War. We forget how important timber was to the war effort, yet so little is known about the women who kept England's forestry up and running when needed the most.
Over seventy-five years later, we are mustering up some inspiration from these great women in history - this time to help put trees back in the ground.
For every Lumberjill tank sold, we will plant a tree in California to help with the reforestation efforts to combat the devastating 2017 wild fire season.
